No cars, no people. Just sunrise reflecting in the puddles; leftover rainwater. It is so quiet you can hear the wind under your breath. My dog tugs on the leash and looks back to see why I am so slow. We can hear whistling growing in volume. Appearing from around the corner is a person walking a small white dog wearing a stylish Burberry coat. He startles when he looks up and notices us, then gives a subtle chin thrust and a conspiratorial smile before crossing the street and continuing on his way.
